Hey there, I'm JJ! I head up the sales, business development, and partnerships teams at Eventbase. I’m responsible for driving new business growth, helping to expand strategic partnerships, and making sure our customers get exceptional value from our event technology platform.

Who am I?

I’m part tech geek, part live music junkie, and full-time champion for great experiences. I’ve spent my career at the intersection of technology and live events, building businesses, producing music and DJ events, and leading revenue and partnerships for companies that help people connect in meaningful ways.

These days, I lead the sales team at Eventbase, where we help some of the world’s biggest and boldest events deliver unforgettable mobile event app experiences. I’m passionate about building authentic relationships, creating opportunities for people to come together, and finding ways to turn good ideas into great outcomes.

I believe the best experiences happen when you mix creativity, technology, and a little bit of hustle.

Advice for prospective candidates

If you’re thinking about applying for our Account Executive role, here’s what I recommend:

Be highly organized. This role involves managing multiple complex opportunities at once - each with its own moving parts, stakeholders, and deadlines. Staying on top of those details and keeping deals moving forward smoothly is one of the most important parts of the job.

Make sure you can demonstrate a proven ability to close six-figure agreements with enterprise tech companies or similar organizations. Our clients are sophisticated, and many of our deals involve longer sales cycles, multiple decision-makers, and consultative selling. Showing that you’ve successfully navigated those kinds of deals before will go a long way.

Take initiative. The people who succeed on our team don’t just wait for things to happen - they help make them happen. I’m looking for someone who actively contributes ideas, moves marketing efforts forward, and looks for ways to strengthen our go-to-market strategy. Whether it’s refining a pitch deck, proposing a new outreach campaign, or jumping in to support a partnership opportunity, being proactive matters.

Help build brand rapport. A big part of this role is representing Eventbase out in the world - at events, on demo calls, and in conversations with clients and industry partners. I want someone who can confidently represent our brand, build trust quickly, and leave people with a great impression of who we are and what we stand for.

Most importantly, be a good teammate. We’re a close, collaborative group that values people who care about their work, look out for their colleagues, and aren’t afraid to bring fresh ideas to the table.
